Big Idea: “Justice Exhibition Pairs Art and Science Together”
Client: Science Gallery Atlanta
Date: 2022
Location: Pullman Yards in Atlanta, Georgia
The Justice exhibition that paired art and science together, under the umbrella topic of justice. It was held at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, Georgia.
Working with over fifteen artists from around the globe, we created a graphic design identity for this exhibition that had the look and feel of a transit system. The topic already leant itself to this decision, but with the addition of an actual bus in the gallery, we knew that the opportunity was there to tie the graphic identity to the artworks in a subtle way.
We pulled pastels found in various bus and roadway systems for inspiration. The label shape became more angular, taking on the feel of a wayfinding brochure, similar to what one might see for a bus system in a city.
We also supported the artists with print-ready files and visual direction, when needed, as shown in the video game arcade vinyl and large billboards. For more exhibit design projects, click here.
